Jaide Health, Inc. (“Jaide,” “we,” or “us”) provides a software-as-a-service application that facilitates translation and interpretation services between healthcare organizations and their patients (the “Services”). We also maintain a website that allows visitors to learn about our Services and communicate with us (the “Website”)
This Privacy Policy describes the personal information that we collect from users of our Services such as healthcare professionals and other healthcare organization staff, as well as visitors to our Website (collectively, “you”). This Privacy Policy also explains how we use and share that information, the choices you have, and how you can contact us if you have questions or concerns.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to information that we handle on behalf of healthcare organizations when we provide the Services, such as patient information. Patient information may be protected by various laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, as amended, including its implementing regulations (“HIPAA”). We process patient information in accordance with our agreement with the relevant healthcare organization, including as a “business associate” under HIPAA, where applicable.

Personal information we collect

We collect the following categories of information.
Information you give us:
  1. User information and contact details, such as first and last name, gender identity, clinical role/specialty, languages (including regional dialects) spoken and associated proficiency, email address, phone number, state and city, and practice information (including relevant details regarding health IT software including but not limited to which EHR/EMR system is being used).
  2. Content that you upload to or record or generate using the Services, including records of patient consultations and outputs from our translation services. We process this information subject to our agreements with healthcare organizations and applicable laws.
  3. Communications that we exchange with you, including when you contact us with questions, feedback, or otherwise.
  4. Marketing information, such as your preferences for receiving communications about our Services and publications, and details about how you engage with our communications.
Information we obtain from other sources:
We may maintain pages on social media platforms, such as Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, you or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform.
Automatic data collection.
We and our service providers may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and your interaction over time with our Sites, such as:
  1. Device data, such as your computer’s or mobile device’s operating system, manufacturer and model, browser type, IP address, unique identifiers, language settings, mobile device carrier, and general location information such as city, state or geographic area; and
  2. Usage data, such as pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page, browsing history, and access times.
We may collect this information using cookies and other similar technologies. Cookies are text files that websites store on a visitor‘s device or in the browser for the purpose of helping you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, enabling functionality, and helping us understand user activity and patterns. How we use personal information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:
To provide the Services and Website.
This includes:
  1. Enabling you to create an account;
  2. Administering, hosting, and operating the Services and Website;
  3. Communicating with you and responding to any inquiries you may have; and
  4. Analyzing your use of the Services and our Website to allow us to evaluate and improve the Services and further develop our business.
Research, development, benchmarking, and improving our Services and Website.

For compliance and protection:
Including to enforce any applicable terms and conditions, comply with legal obligations, defend against legal claims or disputes, protect the security and integrity of our Website and Services, and identify and investigate fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity.

How we share personal information

We may share personal information with:
Service providers. 

We share personal information with companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate our Services or our business (such as hosting services, communications, data and cyber security services, billing and payment processing services, automated and manual translation services, fraud detection, investigation and prevention services, web and mobile analytics, email and communication distribution and monitoring services, and customer relation management systems). We may also share personal information with vendors that develop and provide artificial intelligence technologies.
Advertising partners. 

We may share personal information with third party advertising companies (including for the interest-based advertising purposes described above), lead generation partners, and channel partners, resellers, and distributors that allow us to explore and pursue growth opportunities.
Professional advisors. 

We share personal information with professional advisors, such as lawyers, auditors, bankers and insurers, where necessary in the course of the professional services that they render to us.
Business transferees. 

We may share personal information with acquirers and other relevant participants in business transactions (or negotiations for such transactions) involving a corporate divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, reorganization, sale or other disposition of all or any portion of the business or assets of, or equity interests in, Jaide or our affiliates (including, in connection with a bankruptcy or similar proceedings).

Your choices

Unsubscribe from direct marketing communications.
You may opt out of marketing-related communications by following the opt out or unsubscribe instructions contained in the marketing communication we send you.
Opt-out of interest-based advertising.
You may limit online tracking by:
  1. Blocking cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies, including cookies used for interest-based advertising. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings.   2. Blocking advertising ID use in your mobile settings. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of the advertising ID associated with your mobile device for interest-based advertising purposes.

You can block our websites from setting cookies used for interest-based ads by using a browser with privacy features, like Brave, or installing browser plugins like Privacy Badger, Ghostery, or uBlock Origin, and configuring them to block third party cookies/trackers. Do not track.

Data security

We employ a number of technical, organizational and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. However, please be aware that despite our efforts to protect personal information, no security measures are completely failsafe and we cannot 100% guarantee the security of your personal information against all forms of possible threats.

Data retention

We may retain your personal data for as long as it is reasonably needed in order to maintain and expand our relationship and provide you with our Services and Website; in order to comply with our legal and contractual obligations; or to protect ourselves from any potential disputes. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of such data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of such data, the purposes for which we process it, and the applicable legal requirements.

Children

Our Services and Website are not intended for use by children without the consent of their parents or guardians. If we learn that we have collected personal information without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law, we will delete it.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of this Privacy Policy. We may also provide notification of changes in another way that we believe is reasonably likely to reach you, such as via e-mail.
